Martha Brae Rafting Village is located in Falmouth, Trelawny, approximately 30-45-minutes driver from Montego Bay. It is one of the most popular rafting attractions rooted in the history and culture of Jamaica. Enjoy a 1-hour ride on a bamboo raft on the Martha Brae River with a skilled and knowledgeable raft captain. Hear the legend of Martha Brae, listen to the history of the town of Falmouth, its surrounding communities, along with icons such as Falmouth’s own hero Usain Bolt, the fastest man alive on the planet.
Relax and enjoy a smooth ride on the river as your captain skillfully guide his raft with his pole. Explore the River and observe the beautiful flora and fauna along the riverbanks. Listen the sweet melody of different birds chirping along the way. Feel the cool river breeze blowing through the huge trees and tall bamboos. Take a swim in the cool fresh water if you must. Montego Bay
Your driver will be at your hotel approximately 10-15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. It’s best to wait in the lobby or on the outside of the lobby. Your driver/guide will have your information.
Tour Information
A 30-45-minute drive from Montego Bay will get you to Falmouth for your tour. Arriving at the rafting village, you will be checked in, given a life vest, and a complimentary drink, before being escorted to the to the dock and get on a raft assisted by your raft captain. Your raft captain will introduce himself while skillfully guiding the raft away from the docking area. As you float down the river, you will learn about the community of Martha Brae, Falmouth and its environment along with the story of Martha Brae.
You will have relaxing experience passing the beautiful flora and fauna on the riverbanks, hear different birds chirping sweet melody from the top of tall trees, and feel the cool river breeze blowing through the bamboo trees as you pass by. You can Take swim if you wish, you can purchase coconut or Red Stripe Beer from vendors along the riverbanks or just relax and enjoy raft ride to the ending point.
