Private Blue Hole and Green Grotto Caves Tour from Montego Bay

The Blue Hole Waterfalls is one of Jamaica’s hidden gems. Located in the parish of St. Mary, close to the town of Ocho Rios, the Blue Hole has become popular with tourist as well as locals. Take a 1 1/2-2-hour drive from Montego Bay along the picturesque North Coast Highway for an exciting day of fun and excitement at the Blue Hole Falls.  

After checking in and receiving your life vest, you will follow your assigned tour guide through a trail leading to the entrance of the falls. The guide will walk you through the river, over rocks and into several mini pools where you can take dips, relax in jacuzzi like pools, lay on rocks with the cold, fresh river water cascading over them, while he takes your pictures for you.

As you come to the big falls, you have the option of jumping off into the inviting blue water below, climbing down the falls from a rope or opt to get off and walk to the bottom of the falls. There are platforms to jump from, a cave below the falls that you can explore, and rope swings for you to have fun. 

The Green Grotto Caves are located on the scenic North Coast of Jamaica in the town of Discovery Bay, just over 3 km from the spot where Christopher Columbus landed in 1494. The caves were sought after as a hideout by the Spanish during the takeover of the island by the English in 1655 and is said to have been a haven for runaway slaves in the 18th Century. 

A 1-hour walking tour with your trained and experienced tour guide will take you on an adventure through the Caves’ inner beauty with its series of interconnected passageways and chambers, light holes, majestic stalactites and stalagmites. Continue down some 37 meters to the cave’s innermost carven, where you will come upon the Grotto… with water as translucent as nothing you have ever seen before! On your way out, stop at the “Wishing Well” and throw in a coin – for luck, for love or all your heart’s desires.

Our morning pickup from your hotel in Montego Bay at your scheduled time, takes you on a drive along the picturesque North Coast Highway through the town of Ocho Rios to the Blue Hole attraction. On arriving. you will be checked in, given your life vest, have a tour guide assigned to you, who will lead you to the river to begin your tour.

You will walk through the river, over rocks and stop several mini pools, jacuzzi like pools, lay on rocks with the cold, fresh river water cascading over them. Approaching the falls, you have the option of jumping off, climbing down from a rope or opt to get off and walk to the bottom of the falls. You can jump off platforms, explore the cave below the falls, do rope swings. swim and be entertained by other visitors having a great time, all while your guide take your pictures and videos. Your tour ends when you get back in the parking lot. Tour time 2-hours

Arriving at Green Grotto Caves, you will receive your ticket and assigned a tour guide who will take you on an adventure through the caves to see the inner beauty with its series of interconnected passageways and chambers, light holes, majestic stalactites and stalagmites.

Your tour will take you some 37 meters to the cave’s innermost cavern where you will come upon the Grotto… with water as translucent as nothing you have ever seen before! The tour will come to an end at the wishing well, where you will exit and make your way back to the main building. Tour time 45-1-hour.
