The Pelican Bar is located in the community of Parotee in the Parish of St. Elizabeth, along the South Coast of the island. A trip to the Pelican Bar will be a memorable experience as it is a 100% local attraction and one of its kind in Jamaica. Get a 5-minute boat ride on a local fishing boat to the Pelican Bar where you will spend a minimum of 2-hours in a location where you will have a stress-free atmosphere.
Find a spot on the deck, spread your beach towel, lay in the sun and enjoy the cool Caribbean breeze on your body with the warm Jamaican sun. Take swims in the waist-high crystal-clear blue waters. Enjoy a game of dominos with the locals. Have some cold Jamaican Red Stripe Beers or other beverages. Have a seafood lunch of lobster, shrimp, conch (seasonal) or vegetables serve with Jamaican special rice and peas or other side orders. After you have enough, signal your boat captain that you are ready to go, and he will take you back on the beach where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
Montego Bay
Your driver will be at your hotel approximately 10-15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. It is best to stand in the hotel lobby or on the outside of the lobby by the door. The driver/guide will have your relevant information.
A 1 1/2-2-hours’ scenic drive from your hotel through the mountains and along the shoreline to the south coast, will take you to the local community of Parotee to the Pelican Bar. Arriving at Parotee on the beach, you will get on a local fishing boat for a short ride over to the Pelican Bar. There, you can swim, play a game of dominos with the locals, relax on the deck and sunbathe, or just chillax and do absolutely nothing but enjoy the cool laidback atmosphere with some cold Red Stripe Beer or other local beverages.
after approximately 2-hours, your boat captain will return you on the beach where your driver will be waiting for you.

We’ll pick you up at your hotel approximately 10-15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time, in a clean, cool air-conditioned vehicle, for a 1 1/2-2-hour picturesque drive through the mountains and long the shoreline to the South Coast.
A 10-15-minute rest top will be at Border Jerk approximately 1-hour drive from Montego Bay. If food is ready, you can grab some jerk chicken if you wish to.
After finish using the rest rooms, we will continue on our journey through the mountains towards the Pelican Bar.
Arriving on the beach at Parotee, you will get changed, get checked in, meet your boat captain who will assist you on his boat for a short ride over to the Pelican Bar.
Arriving at the Pelican Bar, you will meet the crew who will assist you from the boat onto the bar. They will ensure you have a “Funtastic” time. Your boat captain will be shuttling people to and from the bar. When it is time for you to leave, you signal him, and he will pull up to the steps to get you.
Leaving Pelican Bar, your boat captain will drop you off at the beach. You will use the changing room to change into dry clothes (if you swim) and wash the sand off your feet before getting on your vehicle for your trip back to Montego Bay.
